As moms who want to raise their children to love the Lord, we also long to raise children who love others well—not just in word, but in action. But how do we teach our kids to see, love, and befriend those who experience the world differently? In this Lunch & Learn, we’ll explore how the gospel shapes the way we help our children notice, include, and build friendships with kids who have different interests or are impacted by disability. Together, we’ll talk about the heart posture of Christlike love, the power of small everyday actions, and how to model and encourage meaningful relationships.
For moms whose own children have unique needs and struggle to find friends, this conversation is also for you. We will take a look at the life of Christ and His design for the church as we think about what your children contribute to the lives of those around them. Together, we’ll encourage one another in raising kids who love well and trusting that God is at work in shaping friendships that reflect His kingdom.
