Teacher: Ashley Belknap, Director of Engaging Disability With The Gospel
Friendship and fellowship are important parts of being members of the body of Christ. We want to make sure all our kids, teens, and adults are growing in their relationships with Christ, developing friendships, and serving alongside one another.
Reverse inclusion, bringing peers into the special discipleship settings of people with disabilities, is one way to help these uniquely-abled learners grow and develop relationships. Small classroom settings, individualized teaching, and the support of peers can be a winning combination for people of all ages who have disabilities. There are many ways that you can utilize reverse inclusion models across your church’s ministries.
In this online training we will cover:
- Strategies for strengthening peer relationships across the lifespan
- Creative ways to use reverse inclusion models in many ministries of your church
- How to assess the needs of church members who might benefit from reverse inclusion
