Speaker: Ashley Belknap, Executive Director of Engaging Disability With The Gospel
Nursery workers are on the front lines of seeing children grow, learn, and develop. But how do we know when a child is developing at their own pace—or when they may need extra support? In this training, we’ll discuss practical ways to recognize developmental milestones, when to be concerned about delays, and how to lovingly support young children who struggle with behavior, communication, and social interactions. We’ll also explore simple strategies for helping little ones regulate emotions, engage with peers, and feel safe and secure in the nursery and preschool environment. Finally, we’ll talk about how to navigate conversations with parents in a way that is encouraging, grace-filled, and helpful. Nursery workers will leave equipped with confidence, insight, and practical tools to provide the best care for every child.
