The GROW Virtual Conference will equip church leadership, teachers, and parents in the task of leading children to Christ. This unique “hybrid” conference will include three live-streamed training sessions, seven video workshops, and eight live training webinars.
One of the live webinars will be presented by our director, Ashley Belknap, on Unique Needs: How to Identify, Love, and Disciple Kids Impacted by Disability in Your Children’s Ministry:
Most children’s ministry volunteers have a very defined idea of disability—typically, a visible limitation or unique need. But many disabilities go unrecognized because they present with subtle, unique, complex differences not always associated with disability: behavior outbursts, poor impulse control, language delays, memory deficits, learning differences, and more. Are your kids that are displaying these growing spiritually? Do they have friends? Those are important for every child, including ones with diagnosed disabilities and undiagnosed differences. In this webinar, you will learn how to identify unique needs, determine supports needed for the child, and how to have winsome conversations with parents.
The conference will also include Ashley’s recorded workshop on Teaching the Bible at Home to Kids with Unique Learning Differences.
Register for the entire conference to receive access to all training sessions, including Ashley’s. Visit the conference website to learn more and to register.
