ONLINE TRAINING

Teacher: Ashley Belknap, Director of Engaging Disability With The Gospel
Years ago, families drove by churches and talked to friends when considering a new church. In 2019, the first place that families living with disability go for information about your church is the church’s website. Your church’s website is an invaluable tool for communicating that you are intentionally trying to reach, enfold, and disciples people with disabilities of all ages—kids, teens, and adults.
This online training will explore many ways that your church’s website and printed materials, such as the church bulletin and newsletters, can serve your entire congregation in disability ministry.
Topics we will cover:
- How to use your church’s website to welcome families with disabilities
- Why a genuine, honest, and realistic tone in all your advertising matters
- How to capitalize on the existing ways the church communicates with members
- How communications can be used to educate your congregation
Note: If you attended our church website training in 2018, you will not want to miss this! There will be substantial new information in this year’s training.
