For Children’s Ministry Leaders, Volunteers, and Parents
SPEAKER: Ashley Belknap, Director of Engaging Disability
Families touched by disability often have unique challenges in trying to participate in ordinary church experiences such as Sunday School, worship, and fellowship times. Becoming a church where everyone is growing in Christ and finding genuine relationships with one another does not happen automatically.
Growing together takes intentional effort, understanding, and a willingness to love those who may be different from you. In this conference, we will look at a range of church issues, from behavior to worship and from Sunday School to fellowship times. We will consider ways that First Presbyterian Church can grow to become a body where individuals and families impacted by disability thrive and find belonging.
