Darcia Munro

Director

Darcia is a retired special education teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from East Carolina University and taught in public and private Christian educational institutions beginning in 1989.

Since 2012, Darcia has been part of Camp Joy, a multistate Christian camp serving teens and adults who have disabilities. directing camps in Florida and North Carolina. Working with students, campers, families, and churches, she has developed a strong passion for the discipleship and inclusion of people who have disabilities in faith communities. She has long recognized how the strengths of people impacted by disability help the church become places where everyone belongs.

Darcia and her husband, David, reside in Lake Placid, Florida.
