Children’s ministry is one of the first places that many churches encounter families touched by disability. But disabilities are found in people of all ages and are lifelong conditions.
In this online training, we will examine the total picture of disability ministry through the various stages of life for individuals and their families. We will discuss challenges and opportunities, starting with children’s ministry and ending with senior adult ministry, covering all age groups in between.
Topics we will cover:
- Understanding the onset of disability and diagnoses through the life span
- Unpacking the challenges of church life through those stages
- Unique opportunities for caring
- Grasping the bigger picture of disability ministry beyond children’s ministry
